1. INTRODUCTION

The Department of Pharmacology was established in 1964.

The Head of Department of Pharmacology:

• 1964 – 1975: Prof.PhD. Nguyen Manh Hung
• 1975 – 1977: Assoc.Prof. Le Viet Khoa
• 1978 – 2003:  Dr. Doan Van Quynh
• 2003 – 2012:  Assoc.Prof.PhD. Truong Thi Dieu Thuan
• 2012 – 2019:  MSc. Tran Van Hoa
• Since 2019: Assoc.Prof.PhD. Le Chuyen.

2. ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE

The Department consists of 7 staff, including 5 lecturers, including 2 technicians:

• Dr. Tran Van Hoa, MD, MSc
• Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tin, MD, MSc

• Mr. Cao Manh Ha

3. EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Undergraduate training programs: The department has been in charge of undergraduate training for 6-year medical students,  4- year medical students, Preventive Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Bachelor of Public Health...etc…

Graduate training programs: The department is training specialist doctors at level 1 and 2, master, resident doctor.

Medical services: Providing health care services in department of internal medicine at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and in the clinic

4. RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION

The main researches are clinical pharmacology and molecular biology such as: cell biology, molecular biology, biosensor…

- Hue University level scientific researches: 03

- We have a lot of Grassroots level scientific researches which have been reviewed and accepted.

- We published in various prestigious Medical Journals.

 5. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

- 3 masters have been trained in affiliated Program with Sassari University, Italy.

- 1 PhD is training in Chonbuk University, Korea.
