1. INTRODUCTION:

The Faculty of Rehabilitation of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy was establish on Juanuary, 2009. Dr Nguyen Thi Thanh, MD was the first Head of the Faculty and now is Dr Ha Chan Nhan, MD.

2. THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND PERSONNEL:

The Faculty consists of 9 doctors (6 lecturers of Faculty and 3 contract lecturers) and 3 physiotherapists.

3. EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

The Faculty takes charge of teaching the subject of Rehabilitation for students, training orientation specialist doctors, the first specialist doctors of rehabilitation, and physiotherapists.

The Faculty enhances the syllabus and enhances reference materials in field of rehabilitation.

The Facultys trains short-term courses for Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy license.

4. RESEARCH AND APPLIED SCIENCE - TECHNOLOGY:

Every year, the lecturers of Faculty are guiding thesis for general medical students and carry out many research topics at the basic level. The research focused on the issues of arthritis, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and community-based rehabilitation.

The Faculty is improving the quality and scale of scientific research topics.

5. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION:

In recent years, Faculty of Rehabilitation has built many international relationships, thereby enhancing the capacity of scientific research, teaching, treatment and rehabilitation projects to serve the community.

The Faculty is expanding cooperation with national and international organizations to organize workshops and CME specialized in rehabilitation.
